For those of you new to our industry,
my name is Karen Spudich, the President of your Union. I started as a member with Culinary Local 226 and have been a Union member for 17 years. I was a food server at the Maxim Hotel and Casino. I transferred into the beverage department in 1993 and became a member of Local 165. I served my apprenticeship and passed my craft exam in 1994.
I came to work with the Bartenders Union Local 165 in March of 1998 as a business representative. I am proud to be a Union member and the president of this local. I will always do my best for all working individuals and families in our industry. I will fight to see that you get the dignity, respect and justice that you deserve on the job. I have done my very best to represent this membership and I will continue to do so.
